Galvanized Steel SGCH, DX51D

Galvanized steel plate is the process of coating ordinary hot-rolled steel with zinc by dipping the shape into a hot bath of pure zinc at nearly 860 degrees F. Once removed from the tank, the steel has a metallurgical bond, providing a tough and durable zinc carbonate weatherproof layer that provides protection for up to 30 years. The resulting galvanized steel can be machined and welded as usual, but proper ventilation should be used to avoid smoke inhalation.
