Technical characteristics
Stainless low carbon chrome-Nickel steel of austenitic class. The alloys of this series are characterized by high resistance to rupture under load and demonstrate improved high temperature strength. The alloy is alloyed with molybdenum, manganese, silicon, nitrogen.

The austenitic steel with designation 1.4432 is a so-called acid resistant grade containing chromium, nickel and molybdenum just like 1.4404, but in the case of 1.4432, the content of molybdenum is about 0.5% higher. Furthermore, 1.4432 has low carbon content which means that it can be welded without risking impairment of corrosion resistance in the vicinity of the weld. In terms of strength, 1.4432 is more or less equivalent to the lower-alloyed grades 1.4404 and 1.4307
